An international cast of artists from Australia, Turkey and Greece, present a contemporary Australian opera on love, war and hope, set during the Gallipoli Campaign in 1915.
For Australia, the landing of Australian troops at Gallipoli on 25 April, marks the most important national occasion, ANZAC Day. Each year, in Australia and around the world, ceremonies of remembrance are held on that date. Thousands of Australians travel to Gallipoli, Lemnos (where the ANZACs were based during the Campaign) and other key sites for the commemoration events.
It is a trans-national collaboration of artists, cultural actors and educators for the presentation of innovative and contemporary artistic works and activities, presenting a female perspective on the impact of conflict on our societies.
